Tempe AC Maintenance. How to Maintain Fresh Breathable Air

Tempe AC Replacement

Tempe's humid climate increases airborne pollutants and allergies. In addition, weather and recycled air inside homes influence those with allergies and respiratory difficulties.

How can you maintain healthy IAQ when temperatures soar and ozone and pollution levels rise?

Rescue One Air is a leader in IAQ solutions and understands Tempe's summer air. We've developed a list of tips to help keep your indoor air cleaner and healthier and were to contact a Tempe AC Maintenance specialist.

Pay Attention to VOCs in the Home

Use "green" cleaning products. If you want to avoid a lot of VOCs, try to clean and freshen the air with natural products as much as possible. Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are dangerous chemicals given off as gas by many things, including cleaning products. Indoors, where airflow isn't good, it's more likely that too much will be found. To avoid them, buy natural cleaners that aren't bad for the environment.

Don't spray chemicals into the air. If you use an aerosol cleaner, spray it on a cloth or sponge. Reduce as much as possible the number of chemicals in the air.

Watch Indoor Humidity

  1. Exhaust Fans: When the humidity is high, use exhaust fans in the bathroom and kitchen. Taking a steamy shower or boiling water in the summer can make the air more humid, which can help mold and mildew growth. Run those fans for at least 30 minutes to reduce the air's moisture.
  2. Wipe Away Moisture: After cleaning, wipe away any extra moisture from surfaces, as this can help mold and mildew growth. Because they get wet often, pay extra attention to bathtubs, bathroom floors, sinks, and splash guards.
  3. Buy a dehumidifier. If your home has too much humidity in the summer (poor air quality, condensation on the windows), buy a portable dehumidifier, especially if the condensation problem is localized. Also, mold and mildew are less likely to stick around if you use a dehumidifier. Rescue One Air is a local expert in many air treatments, and our experts can help have your home set up, so all you breathe is fresh air.

How to Clean the Right Way

Use a Wet Microfiber Cloth to Dust: When you dust, use a wet microfiber cloth. If you do it this way, you won't send dust into the air.

Use a HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) Filter. A HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) filter can help eliminate mold, dust, pollen, and other airborne toxins while preventing harmful emissions. You can also "dust" drapes and furniture with a hose extension.

Cleaning Bucket: After sweeping and cleaning the bucket, empty and wash the bucket. Cleaning buckets should also be put outside, so any lingering toxins don't get into the house.

This will make it harder for people to bring in allergens and other things from outside. When mornings become less humid, open the windows for about half an hour to let air circulate. Clean air will help IAQ.
